ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS
(All the legalese stuff)
ORDERING LEATHER:
Holsters - Please state make, model, and bbl. length of handgun when ordering. (i.e. Ruger Vaquero, 5 1/2" bbl.; or Colt Govt. Model, 5" bbl.). Barrel length is measured from the front of the cylinder to the end of the barrel on revolvers, and from the closed action bolt face to the end of the barrel on automatics. If ever in doubt about the measurement please give us a call or send us and e-mail.
Belts - On all belts we need your actual measurement where the belt will be worn and the cartridge size (.45 LC, .44 Russian, .357, etc). Most cartridge belts are worn just below the pants belt. If you are wearing your cartridge belt where you normally wear your pants belt (say if you are wearing trousers with suspenders) you can measure your regular belt from buckle end to the hole you use. PLEASE make sure of this measurement. If you give us the wrong one and have to return the belt there will be a 20% restocking fee.
Chaps - On all chaps/chinks we need the following measurements: Waist (where chaps will be worn, normally just below your pants belt), inseam (top of chap on inside of leg to top of instep; about 4 " below knee on chinks, out seam (top of chap on outside of leg to top of instep on batwing and shotgun; about 4" below knee on chinks), around upper thigh, around knee, around calf. Do not pull tape too tight as this will cause the chaps to be too tight for comfort.
Leather cuffs - Diameter of wrist and arm 6" up from wrist. Always a good idea to measure this wearing a long sleeve shirt.

We are closed Sunday so just leave a message and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. As we are out at shows and shoots you may not get an answer. Please leave a message and we will get back to you, usually the same day.

PAYMENT: All custom orders will require a 50% deposit at the time the order is placed. Customers can pay by PayPal, Credit Cards (see note), personal check, MO, or certified check. Checks and money orders should be made out to Reed's Custom Leather. Orders paid by personal check please allow 2 weeks for your check to clear the bank (There will be a $36.00 fee for all returned checks).
Foreign orders must be paid by PayPal or postal money order in US funds. All PayPal payments will have to be made from confirmed accounts. Under no circumstances send cash.
Note: We are now accepting VISA, MC, AmEx, Discover. You can also make a one time purchase thru PayPal using your credit card, and it does not require setting up a PayPal account. When you are checking out pick PayPal as your payment method. When you come to the PayPal page click that you do not have an account and and then follow the prompts. This is a fast secure way to order from us using your credit card without having to open a PayPal account.
COD: Hate to do this folks but because of past problems we can no longer accept COD orders.
LAYAWAYS: We will accept 90 layaways on all items over $50.00. There is no service charge or interest for this service. You can cancel a layaway at any time for a full refund (except for special order or personalized items).
Note: Any layaway not claimed within 90 days will be forfeited along with all money paid. We will try our best to notify all customers well in advance of their layaways expiring.
BACKORDERS: We will back order any item not in current stock. Please let us know at the time order is placed if you do not want any out of stock item BO.
CANCELLATIONS: Leather orders can be cancelled before actual production has started for a full refund. Once we have an item on the table there will be a 20% cancellation charge. All other items sold can be cancelled up until it ships for a full refund.
Note: Personalized orders can not be cancelled.
RETURNS: We make every effort to insure you are totally satisfied with your purchase; however, if for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase you may return it for a complete refund with the following exceptions. Please call for a return authorization. All returns must be shipped freight prepaid.
Leather goods are made as the order is placed. For this reason we must charge a 20% restocking fee for returns. Special order, discontinued, and personalized items are not returnable. We will make every effort to make sure the referenced items are ordered correctly.
REFUNDS: Once a returned item has been received a credit will be issued to either your PayPal account, or a company check to the purchaser if paid by check, M.O., or cashiers check. No refunds for postage.
SALES TAX: Texas residents please add 7.25% sales tax to all orders. Residents of Houston, Texas add 8.25%.
WARRANTY: We guarantee any leather item manufactured in house. We will repair, or replace at our option, any item manufactured in house. No warranty is expressed or implied on items not manufactured by J. Reed's Custom Leather.
SHIPPING: If using our on line shopping cart you will be given postage and insurance at time order is placed. Phone orders will be given S/H estimate when order is placed.
